Councils and boards ready for final year of mandates
The East Kootenay’s eight municipal councils (not counting the appointed Jumbo Glacier Resort council), the Regional District of East Kootenay’s seven Electoral Area directors and school board trustees are embarking on the final year of their mandates, with an election looming in November.
There is a municipal election every three years in British Columbia, occurring on the third Saturday of November – which is Nov. 15 this year (2014).
