Cranbrook offers support to Tim Bozon / family
The City of Cranbrook is offering its support to Tim Bozon, a forward with the Kootenay ICE hockey club and his family, as he battles meningitis in a Saskatoon hospital.
The news was made public on Wednesday through a media release issued by the Western Hockey League.
āOn behalf of council and the entire City of Cranbrook, I wish to express our deepest concern for the serious illness that has befallen Tim and wish him a speedy recovery. All of our thoughts, prayers and very best wishes go out to Tim and his family in this difficult time, as well as his teammates with the Kootenay ICE,ā said Wayne Stetski, Mayor of the City of Cranbrook.
āI sincerely applaud the efforts and the quick action of the medical personnel in Saskatoon and all of the regional health officials there in working to help Tim,” Mayor Stetski added.
A special thank you also goes out to Kootenay Ice Athletic Therapist Cory Cameron, the doctors in Saskatoon and the Saskatoon Blades hockey club for supporting the Bozon family in Saskatoon.
Bozon was diagnosed with meningitis on Saturday, March 1. His condition was described Wednesday as critical. Meningitis is an inflammation of tissue around the brain and spine and severe cases can be fatal.
