Fernie has a new council

The City of Fernie has a new council to work with acclaimed Mayor Mary Giuliano.

Initial results show that three incumbent councilors are returning to power, including incumbents Phil Iddon (632 votes), Joe Warshawsky (604 votes) and Dan McSkimming (499 votes).

Also elected are Ange Qualizza (567 votes), Jon Levesque (537 votes) and Dennis Schafer (535 votes).

Willard Ripley was not re-elected.
