Haul truck driver injured at Greenhills
A 30-year-old haul truck driver was badly injured Jan. 25 in an industrial accident at Teck’s Greenhills Operation at Elkford.
Emergency response crews were called to the mine at about 9:30 a.m. after a quarry truck rolled, trapping the driver inside.
After the driver was freed from the massive truck, STARS Air Ambulance transported him to Calgary’s Foothills Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Teck says it is now investigating the accident and all regulatory authorities have been notified.
