Invermere Council Highlights
Award of 17th Street Revitalization Project
District of Invermere council April 9 awarded the 17th Street Revitalization Project to Max Helmer Construction Ltd. This project includes replacement of the sewer force main, water main, road rehabilitation, intersection improvements, pathway, curb and gutter and storm drainage works.
Miscellaneous
Council approved $2,000 financial contribution to the Columbia Hospice Society.
Council adopted the updated Strategic Priorities Chart.
Council priorities are:
Regional Economic Developmment (April); Community Centre – User Group Consultation (June);
OCP update – Public Consultation (September);
Imagine Invermere 2030- Partnerships (June);
Urban Wildlife Management – consultation (October).
Bylaws for initial readings
Parks and Facilities Regulation Amendment Bylaw No. 1466 received three readings.

Invermere Farmers Market (June 22 to September 14, – Saturdays only)
Mountain Mosaic Festival (July 1)
Splash and Spray Water Festival (August 24)
