Invermere man found dead near arena
Columbia Valley RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are currently investigating the death of a 30-year-old man in Invermere.
RCMP were informed at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, by BC Ambulance Services, that a man had been found deceased in the driveway of a private residence in the 1100 block of 5th Ave. in Invermere, near the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena.
The Coroner’s office has been contacted and will be assisting in the investigation to determine the cause of death of the man, who was a resident of Invermere.
Investigators are not releasing the identity of the man at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
At present time the investigation is ongoing, further updates will be provided when available, reported S/Sgt Marko Shehovac, NCO of the Columbia Valley Detachment.
