Man arrested for trafficking following search

A 45-year-old male was arrested for drug trafficking after a warrant was executed at a residence on Rotary Drive in Kimberley on Nov 5.

The Cranbrook/Kimberley Crime Reduction Unit had been conducting an investigation on the subject for several months. They were able to obtain sufficient evidence for a search warrant, which they executed the evening of Nov 5. Once inside police located cocaine, MDMA, magic mushrooms, cash and evidence to support the charge of trafficking.

The subject was released for court in January 2016 on a number of conditions. Police are recommending charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
