Offering free employment services across the entire East Kootenay, EK Employment strives to provide the supports people need to get back to work quickly.

Funded by the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada, EK Employment delivers the Employment Program of B.C. through four WorkBC Employment Services Centres located in Fernie, Cranbrook, Invermere and Golden.

Our goal: to make meaningful connections between job seekers and employers and to assist un/underemployed individuals in preparing for, searching for, and solidifying employment opportunities in our region.

Through our centres we help individuals in our self-serve resource areas as well as through customized services delivered one-to-one. Each and every individual in our communities is unique and looks at job search differently. There is no “one shoe fits all” method to finding that perfect job.

One-to-one customized services offered through EK Employment hopes to assist individuals by answering the question: what services can we access that will work for you?

In 2015 we will be launching a Refer to Win Program! This program will encourage individuals who are currently accessing one-to-one services to talk to their friends and family about their experiences. Share information on the different services and supports they themselves have taken part in.

Shed light on opportunities available to each and every un/underemployed person in our communities. Each time an individual makes a successful referral to their local EK Employment Centre they will be entered into a draw to win one of four $50 gift certificates to a local business of their choice!
