Small fire reported near Dorr Road
BC Wildfire Service this afternoon reports a new wildfire on the east side of Lake Koocanusa, near Dorr Road.
The estimated size of the fire is .01 hectares and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
BC Wildfire Service notes two other still active but under control fires in the East Kootenay, including the person-caused Kiakho Lake fire (.6 ha), west of Cranrook and the Stirton Road fire, discovered August 9, is listed as being four ha.That fire was also human-caused.
