Suspicious truck fire on Wallinger
Kimberley RCMP is currently following up on a suspicious truck fire that took place on April 11, around 11 p.m.
Kimberley Fire Department attended the 600 block of Wallinger Avenue, after the owner called 9-1-1. A quick response by the fire department minimized damage to the vehicle but evidence located at the scene indicates the fire was intentionally set.
RCMP and Kimberley Fire Department are conducting an investigation into the fire and asking for anybody who may have observed anything suspicious in the area to call police, reported Kimberley RCMP Detachment commander Sgt. Chris Newel, who also provided the image of the burned truck above.
“An unknown woman initially saw the fire and knocked on the front door of the owner’s house alerting him to the fire. If you are that person, the police would like to speak to you,” Newel asks.
Please contact the Kimberley RCMP at 250-427-4811.
