Three arrested after home invasion
Cranbrook RCMP have arrested three young males following an early morning home invasion in Cranbook.
RCMP responded to a complaint of a home invasion at about 6:30 a.m. April 17 when three young males forced their way into a residence and assaulted two of the occupants. They also damaged property in the house and made threats before being forced outside by another resident, at which time they fled on foot, police report.
Police officers and the Police Service Dog Team responded immediately and by noon had the three male suspects in custody.
The names of the suspects are not being released at this time and the incident is still being investigated. The suspects are being held pending a bail hearing.
The RCMP would like residents to know that this was not a random act and the suspects were known to the victims. However, police did not provide details as exactly where in the city the home invasion took place.
