Two arrested for trafficking cocaine
Two males have been arrested in two separate incidents in the last two days for trafficking in cocaine. In each case investigators entered into an investigation based on information they received.
The first occurred in Cranbrook on April 23. A 20-year-old Cranbrook resident was arrested and two packages (total less than one gram) of cocaine were seized. The subject was released for court at a later date.
The second occurred in Kimberley on April 24. A 28-year-old Kimberley resident was arrested and two half gram packages of cocaine were seized. The subject is currently in custody and will be appearing before a Judicial Justice of the Peace Thursday afternoon.
Both subjects are facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Cocaine is typically sold in half and one gram quantities.
