Water main work at Highlands

The public is advised that City of Cranbrook Public Works water crews will be digging up 7th Street South in front of Highlands Elementary School this morning to repair a broken water main. Public Works has been in contact with officials at Highlands School to advise of the situation. The repair work is currently underway and will take most of the day.

The repair is not affecting classes at Highlands School, but will create some traffic congestion issues around the school for the duration of the repair work. The water in the vicinity may appear dirty once the repair is completed, but is not considered a health risk. Residents are asked to simply run their coldwater tap until the water runs clear.

The City of Cranbrook apologizes for any inconvenience.
