A unique show-and-tell experience
Children at Windermere Elementary School got a unique show-and-tell experience Dec. 11.
BC Conservation Officer Service (BCCOS) officers safely captured and relocated a bobcat that had gotten itself into a wildlife conflict.
But before the bobcat was released back into the wild, Conservation Officers took the opportunity to pop by the elementary school to provide a unique show-and-tell for the kids – and speak about human-wildlife conflicts and ways to avoid them, of course.
It’s not uncommon for Conservation Officers in the Columbia-Kootenay region to get calls pertaining to bobcats, lynx or cougars, the BCCOS noted on social media.
