Morning blaze in Canal Flats
Canal Flats Fire Department and later Fairmont Hot Springs Fire Department firefighters responded to an early morning fire at the old Canal Flats mill site Jan. 24.
It is believed the fire began in what is now the Canal Flats Technology Centre between 1 and 2 a.m.
The newly launched steel fabrication shop was destroyed in the blaze. No one was injured. More details when available.
