Columbia Valley RCMP Report
This past week, November 5 through November 11, Columbia Valley RCMP responded to 50 calls for service. The following are some of the more notable files to which our officers responded.
Four youths arrested for tagging
On November 5, at 12:30 p.m., police received a report of four males âtaggingâ a semi-trailer with graffiti near Laurier Street in Invermere. Officers immediately responded and located and arrested the four male youths. The investigation is ongoing.
Thief pinches poppy donation box; banned from Tim Hortons
On November 7, staff from the Invermere Tim Hortons reported someone had stolen their poppy fund donation box. Police viewed the surveillance footage and interviewed several individuals before identifying a suspect. The suspect subsequently returned the money to the Tim Hortons and is now banned from the business.
Five minor vehicle incidents Nov. 9
Snowfall on November 9 resulted in five minor motor vehicle incidents. Three single vehicle collisions occurred in Windermere, one in Radium Hot Sprints and one in Invermere. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in any of the incidents. With winter driving conditions upon us, please remember to drive to the conditions.
