CVRFRS offering free CPR courses
November is CPR Month, and the Columbia Valley Rural Fire & Rescue Service (CVRFRS) is offering two free CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) courses to residents of the area.
“Our goal is to have as many CPR trained community members as possible. Whether it’s a loved one, co-worker, or complete stranger, we want to make sure you are prepared to help save a life,” said CVRFRS Assistant Fire Chief Joss Advocaat.
“The skills learned will give students the vital knowledge and confidence needed to act decisively when an emergency occurs. No certificate will be provided, but we will cover important life-saving lessons like CPR, automated external defibrillator use, choking, and airway management.”
Two separate courses have been scheduled for November 2 and Nov. 30 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Windermere Fire Hall, located at 1635, Highway 93/95.
There is no fee to attend, and all ages are welcome.
Advance registration is required. To register or learn more, contact Advocaat at [email protected] or call the Windermere Fire Hall at 250-342-6214.
