Fall Fair & Scarecrow Festival Sunday
Summer and its bounty will be put to bed this Sunday in Windermere with the Windermere Fall Fair & Scarecrow Festival.
The annual harvest festival staged by the Windermere Community Association starts at 10 a.m. on September 18 and runs to 4 p.m. in the Windermere Elementary School grounds, adjacent to the Windermere Community Hall. The Little Scarecrow Kids Parade will open the day.
The festival features a wide variety of judged garden and kitchen delights, along with arts and crafts on display in the hall.Ā Outside is a myriad of vendors, demonstrations, displays, musical entertainment, a beverage garden and more.
And there is a wide range of fun activities for the kids, including the always-popular Windermere Fire Department foam-fest.
New this year is a chicken-judging event, along with plenty of scarecrows, tug-of-war battles and a little spouse carrying, as well.
