Golden COs hand out a number of charges
Golden area BC Conservation Officers (COs) have been busy over the past week, with compliance verifications resulting in several charges under the Wildlife Act and the Fisheries Act.
In one case, an individual was charged with being in possession of more than twice the daily quota of Bull trout and failing to provide information to an officer. The fish were also processed and frozen contrary to regulation. The fish were seized and donated to local families, the Conservation Officer Service reported on Facebook.
Other charges included: Using a barbed hook in a stream; using prohibited bait; angle without a license; and fish closed area.
The Conservation Officer Service would like to remind anglers to be aware of the regulations when angling in B.C. waters.
