We know everyone is wondering about the Whiteway. With the weather we’ve had for far this month, the ice isn’t thick enough yet.

It will take some cold double-digit temperatures over multiple days to help thicken the ice up, but the forecast currently isn’t overly promising over the next week.

The Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club has a formal ice thickness policy that we use for the Whiteway (Lake Windermere) and Lake Lillian to ensure it’s safe for everyone and you can find it here.
