Invermere Auxiliary presents $100k to EKFH
Christmas has come early for the East Kootenay Foundation for Health (EKFH) and we are so close to being able to purchase the MALDI TOF thanks to an amazing organization from Invermere!
The Invermere Health Care Auxiliary Society presented the EKFH with a cheque for $100,000 to go towards the MALDI TOF!
This fabulous group of volunteers run a very busy and well organized thrift shop in Invermere. They put in countless hours and all of the proceeds from sales goes right back into their community.
The Invermere Health Care Auxiliary has donated over $390,000 to the EKFH to improve health care in the East Kootenay Region since 2012.Ā Besides donating to the EKFH they have supported many other community organizations over the years, including the Invermere and District Hospital and Columbia House.
We only have another $50,000 to raise in order to purchase the MALDI TOF for the East Kootenay Regional Lab. This important piece of diagnostic equipment will improve patient treatment plans in a much more timely manner and it will save lives!
