Invermere by-election set for March 4
The District of Invermere today announced the date for a council by-election following the resignation of newly elected Councillor Mark Topliff prior to his first council meeting Nov. 8
Chief Election Officer Kindry Luyendyk’s Information on the By-Election notice has Saturday, March 4 (2023) as the by-election date.
People interested in running for this council seat can pick up nomination packages at the district office starting Dec. 19.
The nomination period will run from Jan. 17 to Jan. 27, with Feb. 3 the last day to withdraw being a candidate.
The campaign period will span Feb. 4 to March 4.
Advance voting will be available Feb. 22 and March 2.
Official results will be declared March 7.
