Invermere Film Festival Feb. 2 to 5
The Invermere Film Festival returns to Columbia Valley Centre Feb. 2 to 5.
This year’s festival, supporting the Mountain of Hope Society, features seven very fine films, along with bar and food service.
There will be both afternoon and evening screenings, as well as the popular Saturday “late show,” this year featuring the outstanding documentary Hallelulah: Leonard Cohen: a Journey, a Song (pictured above).
Opening night is Friday, Feb. 3 with the excellent new documentary about musician and activist Buffy Sainte-Marie: Carry it On.
Filmmaking 101 master class
The festival features a four hour workshop for all ages on Friday morning to teach some of the basic tools to inspire you to tackle a short film. The course is free but you must register to attend.
