Johnston Road closing July 13 for culvert work
The District of Invermere reports it will be necessary to close Johnston Road to vehicle and pedestrian traffic to complete an Abel Creek culvert replacement.
Okanagan Aggregates Ltd. (of Armstrong) will be starting work on the Abel Creek culvert replacement on Thursday, July 13.
“The focus of this work is to replace an existing culvert crossing Johnston Road located approximately 300 metres to the west of Westside Road,” the district outlined in a notice of work/road closure.
Access to properties on Johnston Road will be via detour route through Castlestone Boulevard for the duration of the work, which is expected to last about three to four weeks, the district said.
