Past Lives showing Nov. 5 in Invermere
Invermere Film Festival’s next feature at Columbia Valley Centre Tuesday, Nov. 5 is 2024 Best Picture Nominee ‘Past Lives.’
The story follows Nora and Hae Sung, two childhood friends from South Korea. Nora’s family emigrated to Canada and fast forward another decade: Nora is now a playwright living in New York, happily married to Arthur, an American novelist.
When Hae Sung visits New York for a brief stay, unresolved feelings resurface, forcing Nora to confront what might have been.
The film explores themes of fate, identity, love, and the parallel lives people could have led had circumstances been different.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Come early and enjoy some popcorn, snacks and beverages.
Tickets can be purchased at the door and online. The movie starts at 7 p.m.
