Remembrance Day in Invermere

This year marked the first time in two years where complete in-person Remembrance Day ceremonies were held throughout the region.

Thousands of regional residents attended ceremonies at cenotaphs in Cranbrook, Kimberley, Fernie, Sparwood, Elkford, Canal Flats, Edgewater and Invermere.

The following images provide a look at Invermere’s Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 71 ceremony and procession.

We thank and honour our veterans, past, present and future, as well as all our life-line service providers such as police, firefighters, medical/paramedics, search and rescue teams and social service professionals.

Without your efforts, service and sacrifices our society would not be as it is and we must forever be thankful for those who ensure our freedoms and well-being are in good hands.

We must never forget.
