Invermere is a rocking place this weekend with three major events taking place.

This evening, from 5 to 8 p.m. is the ninth annual Snowflake Festival at Kinsmen Beach, with Taste of the Valley open from 6 to 8 p.m. Purchase a passport for only $10 and sample away!

Fireworks begin at 8 p.m., with pond hockey, bonfires and more stretching into the evening. The event is free and the whole family is invited.

A few feet away is the Bonspiel-on-the-Lake, running Jan 19-21, with 64 teams from all over competing on the ice of Lake Windermere.

And on Sunday, it’s the Hockey Festival on Lake Windermere.

Bundle up and head down to Kinsmen Beach/Taynton Bay and take in the fun. Have a spin along the Whiteway, too.
