On Friday, September 16 at about 2 p.m., emergency crews responded to a motorcycle collision on Foresters Landing Road in Radium Hot Springs.

A motorcyclist was riding with a group when he lost control of his motorcycle, went off the road and struck a utility pole, reported Columbia Valley RCMP Detachment commander Sgt. Darren Kakuno.

First responders attempted lifesaving efforts; unfortunately, the 46- year-old Alberta resident succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
