All acclaimed; no election for Radium
The Village of Radium Hot Springs will be the only municipality in the East Kootenay without election signs on lawns over the next month.
With Mayor Clara Reinhardt (pictured above) being re-elected to a second term via acclamation and only four people seeking election to the four-seat council, there is no need to cast ballots Oct. 20.
Three incumbent councillors will be returning to office: Mike Gray, Todd Logan and Tyler McCauley, and Dale Shudra will be the new face at the council table.
Long-time Coun. Ron Verboom did not seek re-election.
