Radium firefighter receives 25-year medal
During the Radium Hot Springs Fire Department’s May 20 open house and fundraising garage sale – an important recognition also took place.
Captain Todd Logan (pictured left) was awarded his 25 Year British Columbia Fire Services Recognition Medal by Chief Trevor Carr.
This medal is awarded to those who have at least 25 years of paid or volunteer fire service in a community/structure fire department, to recognize their dedication and long service.
Captain Logan started with the Radium Hot Springs Fire Department in 1993 and has risen through the ranks, eventually being appointed as a Captain.
Captain Logan is an integral part of our department. Not only responding to emergency calls within our community but he is also instrumental in many community engagement efforts and programs that the citizens of Radium benefit from. Notably, he is key in the coordination and organization of the “Christmas Eve around Radium” event where the department drives Santa and Mrs. Claus around the community.
Thank you, Todd for your dedicated service to the community, the department and our citizens.
