311 app launched to improve customer service
Improving customer service is behind today’s official launch of the City of Cranbrook’s brand new 311 app and phone service.
The 311 service will provide our customers with an easy to remember, single point of access to the city for information, making a request for services or to be connected directly to any of the city’s departments. 311 is designed to provide customers with the information they need or connect them to the people they need quickly and efficiently.
“This service should be a huge improvement in accessing all of our departments and the services they provide,” said Mayor Lee Pratt. “I think once people get used to using the 311 service, I think they will be very happy with the results it produces.”
The city continues to work hard, striving to find innovative and creative ways to deliver better services to our customers. Implementing this new 311 service is an important step forward toward our goal of better customer service.
The 311 app is a great tool for residents to use to connect with the city for information or requesting services. As an example, you find and want to report a pothole. You simply open the app, take a picture of the pothole and with a few clicks, it has been reported to proper city staff and work will be completed.
Another effective tool of the 311 app is to provide push notifications of important city information like road closures, water main breaks or other significant events.
Aside from the 311 app, you can also contact the city directly by phone, simply by dialling 311 in Cranbrook. You can download the app now from the Apple iTunes app store and the Android Google Play store.
