657 by-election votes cast in final advance poll

General voting on Saturday, May 11

A total of 657 residents cast their ballot Wednesday in the second and final advance poll in the City of Cranbrook’s 2019 by-election. That followed 583 voters casting ballots in the first advance poll on Wednesday, May 1.

In comparison, 512 ballots were cast in the second advance poll in the 2017 by-election, with 882 ballots recorded in the second advance poll of the 2018 general election last October.

The final opportunity to vote is Saturday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Prestige Rocky Mountain Resort.

A reminder that special voting opportunities are available for admitted patients or facility residents on Friday, May 10 at the following locations and times:

Joseph Creek Village (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.);

Scott Villa (9 – 9:45 a.m.);

Dr. F.W. Green Memorial Home (10 – 11:45 a.m.);

East Kootenay Regional Hospital (1 – 4:30 p.m.);

Joseph Creek Care Village (2 – 5:30 p.m.);

Mountain View Village (5 – 5:45 p.m.).
