6th Street NW closed Tuesday for watermain work
Watermain work to connect water service to the new ʔaq’am housing project on 6th Street NW will close the street for most of the day Tuesday, May 12.
The road will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic between Industrial Road 2 and Industrial Road 3 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Please follow and obey all project signage in place and use the detour route in place during this construction work.
Please slow down and move over to give any emergency personnel and road maintenance workers the space they need to be safe. It is so important for drivers to be aware of their presence.
When driving through the city any time and you see vehicles with flashing red, blue or yellow lights, please be aware that workers are present. Reduce your speed and allow extra space when passing the vehicles or accident scene, where it is safe to do so.
