Artistic call for CCT’s 2024/25 season
Honouring our Past; Celebrating our Future
The year 2024 marks the 60th year that Cranbrook Community Theatre (CCT) has been bringing exceptional live theatre to the people of Cranbrook and the surrounding area.
Since 1964, more than 160 productions have entertained us, made us laugh, made us cry and all points in between. To recognize this, CCT is creating a very special theme for our 2024-25 season – “Honouring our Past; Celebrating our Future.”
CCT has opened up their artistic call for production teams interested in submitting a play for consideration. To “Honour our Past”, all productions will be remounts of past shows from CCT’s history. This will recognize some of the fantastic work our volunteers have produced for the last 60 years while “Celebrating our Future” by re-imagining and re-introducing them to a modern audience.
Interested production teams can find inspiration and a list of all our past productions in our online Gallery Archives.
CCT plans to mount three productions, one in October 2024, one in February 2025 and one in April/May 2025. Production Teams typically consist of a Director and Producer and teams are strongly encouraged to have both prior to submitting, however, teams without both will still be considered. Mentorship will be provided for inexperienced teams wanting to submit.
The application form for the artistic call can be found on the Cranbrook Community Theatre home page.
The deadline for applications is Friday, February 16 (2024) at 5 p.m.
