At the Library
By Mike Selby
Cranbrook Public Library
Anthony Sadler recounts how he and his two best friends decided to tackle an Isis terrorist who boarded a train in Brussels intent on killing all 500 passengers in ‘The 15:17 to Paris.’
Helaine Becker takes a scientific approach to seeing if Frankenstein, Dracula, and even Bigfoot could actually survive in the real world in her latest book ‘Monster Science.’
Preschool Story Time is this Wednesday at 11 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., and Toddler Story Time is 10 and 11 a.m. Both will be all about Dogs!
New this fall is Baby Laptime on Fridays at 1 p.m. This program is for babies who are not yet walking so a specific age is not really set—best approximation is under 1 year of age. Since we do not have daycare for older siblings we ask that parents who have babies and children who are walking come to the toddler storytime instead of the baby laptime.
FOOD FOR FINES: For the entire month of December, the library will be accepting donations of non-perishable food as payment for overdue fines. One item will be worth one dollar of fines. Any canned or boxed non-perishable food items will be accepted. All donations will be delivered to the food bank throughout the holiday season. This is a great way to get rid of those pesky overdue fines while helping others in need.
