Barney Bentall & The Cariboo Express here Nov. 5
The Cariboo Express is hitching up the team and heading across the Rockies this coming November, for the 11th annual Barney Bentall & The Cariboo Express tour!
The legacy arrives in Cranbrook Nov. 5 to help raise funds for Friends of Children.
Each year the Cariboo Express tour is a highly anticipated show like no other; it’s a heartwarming, hilarious variety show of astonishing talents in roots, country, and rock ‘n roll, with a sense of community at the centre of it all. Joining the usual line-up of Barney Bentall, Ridley Bent, Dustin Bentall, Wendy Bird, Kendel Carson, Matt Masters, and the Gold Rush Allstars backing band at select shows are, Kirby Barber, Adrian Dolan, and Leeroy Stagger as well as some very special guests.
As always, most shows on the tour are fundraisers for various charities, and over the past decade The Cariboo Express have raised nearly three quarters of a million dollars, reaching over $200,000 in the 2015 tour alone.
Over the years, the shows have benefited local charities and not-for-profit societies from Vancouver Island to Winnipeg, including The Potluck Café Society, Sidney Lions Food Bank, Sooke Food Bank, Friends of Children, Classroom Champions, Salt Spring Food Bank, Cause Canada, The Good Food Club, Habitat for Humanity, Bragg Creek Community Centre, Inner City Children’s Program and the Mustard Seed Food Bank.
New this year is the BC Farmers Market Nutrition Coupon Program, in addition to the continued support towards many charities across Western Canada.
The Cariboo Express has become a sought-after event across Western Canada, that makes a significant impact on each community it touches with both its unique fundraising model and highly engaging show. What better way to spend a November night than a show that’s not just an incredibly enjoyable favourite for all ages, but one that makes a difference in the community too.
