Park closing to public to accommodate classic rock festival
Camping spots are still available at Moir Park for Rock the Kootenays 2024 as City of Cranbrook crews prepare to close the park to the public starting Thursday, August 8.
The entirety of Moir Park (pictured) is serving as a campground for the thousands of visitors coming into the community for this weekend’s classic rock festival at Western Financial Place.
Moir Park will be closed to the public until the morning of Monday, August 12.
Concert goers still looking for a camping spot can register by visiting tickets.cranbrook.ca.
Campers will be able to access the parking lot starting at 12 p.m. on Friday, August 9.
