If you are going for a Christmas light/decoration tour in Cranbrook, Candy Cane Lane is a must visit. This year, while popping into the lane, please consider adding to a local resident’s collection for the Cranbrook Food Bank.

“We do this collection each year in honour of two of the sweetest souls who were taken from us way too soon. In their absence we will turn some of our grief in to love and spread some kindness as they both always did in their short time here,” said resident Kim Eagles.

A bin was placed out front in our yard on Candy Cane Lane starting November 24. Items are brought in daily and taken to the Cranbrook Food Bank on Dec. 16 so it can be sent out to families before Christmas.

“Our goal this year is 150 boxes of cereal,” Eagles said.
