CBKSAR aid hiker off Fisher Peak
At 10 p.m., June 21, Cranbrook Search and Rescue (CBKSAR) was tasked to rescue a lone hiker on Fisher Peak.
“After having communication with the hiker he was able to hunker down for the night on Fisher Peak,” CBKSAR reported on social media.
“Our team left at first light (4:30 a.m.) to go help guide the hiker down. He had no injuries; he was just unsure of his skills to descend the mountain.
“This is a great example to always be prepared when going into the backcountry, you never know when you will need to spend some time overnight in nature,” Cranbrook SAR noted.
