CDCF welcomes new executive director
The Cranbrook and District Community Foundation (CDCF) is pleased to welcome Lynnette Wray to the CDCF Executive Director role, effective May 1.
According to Dave Struthers, President of the CDCF Board of Directors, “Lynnette Wray brings a strong history of excellence in the non-profit sector, from her 10 years with the Canadian Cancer Society to her past year of successes with the Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club. Lynnette excels at building relationships with multiple stakeholders, and our board looks forward to working with Lynnette as we chart the future for the CDCF.”
“I have followed the development of the Cranbrook and District Community Foundation since its early years, and it’s a true pleasure to join the CDCF in the role of Executive Director. I look forward to working with the CDCF Board of Directors, members, endowment holders, donors, and community partners, building on the CDCF’s many successes and seeking new opportunities to grow and develop. This is a very special opportunity to support our community through the many worthy projects and programs that make the East Kootenay such a rich and wonderful place to call home,” Wray said.
“Donations to the CDCF are permanently invested at the best possible rates, with the resulting interest available each year to support eligible community projects. Interested individuals or organizations are invited to donate to existing endowment funds or to begin their own endowment funds,” she added.
If anyone is interested in learning more about the CDCF or is wondering how they can participate in this long-term and sustainable approach to charitable giving, please feel free to give Lynnette a call at 250-426-1119 or send me an email at [email protected]. She would be happy to talk with you about the CDCF and how you can become involved.
