CFES battles heavily involved fire
Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services (CFES) responded to a fully involved structure fire yesterday afternoon (July 7), which spread to a second building.
A single occupant safely escaped the wind driven fire yesterday on the 1500 block of 4th St. S.
“The fire was heavily involved when crews arrived and impacted the adjacent structure,” Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services reported on social media.
“There were no injuries to staff or occupants of either home. Emergency Support Service was activated for two persons.
“We are grateful for the support of RCMP, BC Ambulance, utilities and our partners in the Regional Emergency Management Program for their support in responding to this challenging incident.”
The investigation into the cause of the fire is underway at this time.
