Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services (CFES) responded to a structure fire located at 3800 block of 42nd Ave. S. on Friday, July 12.

The call for service was received at 9:16 p.m. with 12 firefighters, one engine and one tender responding.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy black smoke and fire at the back of the home. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and were able to knock down the fire before it spread to far through the home.

There were no injuries.

An investigation into the cause of the structure fire will begin shortly.
