CFES tame wind driven fire
Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services (CFES) this morning responded to a report of a wind driven fire in ?aq’am community.
CFES sent 13 members to the fire, including six responding from home.
“An additional eight members remained in the city to maintain our ability to respond,” CFES reported on social media.
The cause of the fire appears to be damaged hydro lines resulting from high winds, CFES said.
“We are grateful for the support of community members, RCMP, BCAS and BC Hydro. The fire is being held at this time and we are thankful that no homes were lost or residents injured.”
