Chamber Turkey Drive another helpful success

Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce members packed Encore Brewing Dec. 11 to celebrate the holiday season and crown the 2024 Mother Plucker Award.

The coveted annual Turkey Drive award goes to the celebrity pledger (pluckers) who raises the most money for the Salvation Army and Cranbrook Food Bank and the honour this year went to Jason Caven of 107.5 2day radio (pictured above), who raised $16,344.

In total, pledgers have brought in $58,000 so far this year, close to the $60,000 fundraising goal, which will go to helping less fortunate residents in Cranbrook enjoy a finer Christmas.

It isn’t too late to help as the campaign runs until Dec. 20. Click here to make a donation.

The crew from Community Futures East Kootenay once again captured the prize for the best table Christmas tree during the sold out Christmas luncheon.
