Chamber welcomes CAPP guest Sept. 18
Welcome back from summer with the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce’s September Luncheon featuring a special guest from the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP), here to speak to members about the current state of the oil and gas industry and what we need to know for the future.
Byron Nodwell, President and CEO of Longshore Resources will address chamber members at the Days Inn on Wednesday, Sept. 18 (11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.).
Nodwell is a Petroleum Geologist with 18 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including seven years in the junior private sector. Prior to founding Longshore, he held senior positions at Ravenwood Energy and Martin Head Oil & Gas, and technical positions at Encana and Bonterra Energy.
He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Geology from McGill and is a member of APEGA.
Longshore Resources is a privately held exploration and production company headquartered in Calgary and focused on capturing high quality, oil weighted resource opportunities in the Peace River Arch and south central areas of Alberta.
The company’s business plan is to acquire underexploited assets in the target areas that can be developed using horizontal drilling and multi-stage fracturing techniques. In addition, Longshore plans to leverage its growth through the development of high impact, internally generated, drilling prospects.
A member of the ARC Financial portfolio of companies, Longshore has assembled an experienced management and technical team with a track record of success and a plan to leverage its expertise and financial support to develop a top tier oil and gas company.
