City saddened by passing of Neil Muth
City of Cranbrook council members and city staff are saddened to hear of the passing of Neil Muth, President and CEO of the Columbia Basin Trust over the weekend.
“I was shocked to hear about Neil,” said Lee Pratt, Mayor of the City of Cranbrook. “On behalf of council and the entire staff of the City of Cranbrook, I want to extend our deepest and sincerest condolences to the Muth family, friends and his colleagues with the Columbia Basin Trust.”
In his 11 years with the Columbia Basin Trust, Muth worked hard to help set Trust policies, create programs and direct important funding and support to so many communities around the Basin including the City of Cranbrook, Pratt said.
“Neil has left a wonderful legacy around the entire Kootenay region,” he said. “He will be greatly missed.”
