Cops for Kids fundraiser sees Sheriff high in the sky
Staff Sergeant Kelly Hunter with the BC Sheriff’s Department is going to be sky high on Saturday, July 27, trying to bring awareness and raise funds for the Cops for Kids Charitable Foundation.
Kelly has been raising funds for Cops for Kids by doing several initiatives around the City of Cranbrook.
On Saturday, July 27, Kelly will be at the Tamarack Centre riding her stationary bike on a scissor lift 32 feet in the air. The faster she reaches her goal, the quicker the lift will return to the ground and the sooner she can stop riding. The lift has been graciously donated by Sandor Rentals.
Kelly has been training extensively for the Cops for Kids bike ride where she will travel over 1,000 kilometres to raise money for kids in need in the East Kootenay. All money she raises stays in our area.
“It’s been an amazing few months getting ready for this ride. I’m really excited to have partnered with businesses in town who are more than willing to help out this great cause,” said Hunter.
Mr. Mike’s Casual Steakhouse will also be on hand providing food by donation. Proceeds will go towards Cops for Kids.
Come on down on Saturday, July 27, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. and support this great cause! See you there!
