The Cranbrook Scouts & Girl Guides has had to cancel its Christmas tree pickup, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, January 8.

The Cranbrook Scouts & Girl Guides say the cancellation is in part due to directives from Scouts Canada and the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 to keep the youth and families safe.

For your information, all Christmas trees can still be dropped off and recycled for free at the Cranbrook Transfer Station during their regular operating hours.
