Cranbrook council meeting dates set for 2022
The City of Cranbrook has set the dates for council meetings in 2022.
In accordance with Section 127 of the Community Charter, and Section 6 of the City of Cranbrook Council Procedure Bylaw No. 3786, 2014, council must prepare annually on or before December 31 a schedule of regular council meetings and must make the schedule available to the public by posting it at the Public Notice Posting Place and publication in a newspaper in accordance with the Community Charter.

All meetings are held at 6 p.m. MT in Council Chambers, at City Hall (40-10th Avenue S).
Please note there is no council meeting in August, which is not uncommon due to summer slow downs, and there is only one meeting a month in September and October.
Most municipalities in B.C. hold only one meeting in September due to Union of British Columbia Municipalities’ (UBCM) annual general meeting mid-month.
And there is only one meeting in October next year as city councillors and candidates head to municipal elections in early November.
It is unknown at this point when the public and media can begin attending council meetings again due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
