Cranbrook RCMP Report

The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP for the week (from 6 a.m.) July 2 to 6 a.m., July 9.

Police handled 145 calls for service throughout this week.

Among the calls police handled…

Four collisions in the city.

One collision outside the city.

Two intersection collisions where charges were laid (both minor injuries one involved a rollover).

One single vehicle off road collision with underlying medical issue.

14 driving complaints: (eight in the city and six were highway/ rural.)

Five assaults: One was a dispute over food; one was road rage incident that led to the aggressors being arrested for assault and found in possession of drugs and offence related property (Charges proposed); one was a domestic assault near Victoria Avenue.

Five Mental Health Act related calls: one assist East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

Seven thefts.

Three shoplifting.

One theft from auto: (attempted).

One theft other: theft of wallet and passport.

One theft from a residence including gas cards, jewelry and an antique pocket watch.

17 false alarms and false 911 calls.
